Every day we take it into our hands, but we pay no attention to the door handles. They help us to open other rooms. And these close doors behind us, if we want to be among ourselves. However, they are of course used to open and close cupboards and other furnishings that contain doors. The mechanism behind the door handles is quite simple. For laymen, the exchange is no problem at all. The prerequisite is that the right one door handle was bought. However, there are also differences to note.

Door handles for home and front doors
The individual door handles are often quite different in shape from each other. This makes it pretty easy to find the right handles for every door shape. However, differences in the individual door handles are by no means found in the form and in the different materials, but also in the corresponding mode of operation. As a rule, apartment and house doors require handle sets that have a handle on the one hand, but on the other hand, a compact handle or knob. In addition, it is possible that the respective fittings, which normally belong to the handle sets, are different. Among other things, this is due to the locking system, ie the door locks. The door handles often contain only panels on older wooden doors, but also on contemporary glass doors. The actual door lock includes its own cover. Other handle sets have a full bezel, which not only covers the door handles, but also the lock.

Right door handles for modern plastic and glass doors
Stainless steel door handles fit best to the all-glass doors. These underline the elegant design of the door and are easy to clean and practical. Because all-glass doors are often made from unbreakable safety glass, mounting or replacing door handles need not be done with care. Basically, here handle sets can be installed just as easily and well, as with plastic or wooden doors. Because all-glass doors are normally only installed in closed rooms, here a first-class security locking system falls away. Therefore, in the case of the glass doors, the respective fittings for the door lock and the door handles are also normally designed separately. Incidentally, this also visually enhances the corresponding impression of lightness. The doors are already producing them in office and living spaces. To the apartment doors, which have a plastic surface, handles of the same material of course fit best. Even here there is a particularly large selection of different models. Whether gaudy colorful or pure white, with plastic door handles, it is possible to set quite as effective accents. Of course, plastic door handles are also available for apartment and house entrance doors. In such a case, either a matching handle or knob is provided on the outside, which has no pawl function. Accordingly, it is consistently possible that one exchanges the handle set on a plastic front door, if this optically no longer perfect or damaged. Plastic entrance doors look just as good with door handles made of aluminum or stainless steel.

Door handles for bathroom and kitchen cabinets
In general, handle fittings in the bathroom and in the kitchen are exposed to a correspondingly higher load. Here it is advised that you resort to materials that are easy to clean, tolerate moisture and best not start. Acrylic glass, plastic or aluminum are often chosen here. The most important difference between cabinet and door handles is that the handle door consists of an outer and inner handle or knob or handle for the respective door. Cabinet doors, however, need handles only on the visible outer side. Therefore, here jack shapes are also provided under no circumstances. The door handles for cabinets should always be mounted so that they are easily accessible. Of the door handle belongs in the kitchen near the upper cabinets near the lower edge of the cabinet. The reverse is true for the lower cabinets. For other furnishings, the corresponding door handles are often located in the middle of the door.
