Fischertechnik Guide
What is fishery technology?
at Fischer Technology it is a construction kit system. The modular system is not only suitable for children, but is also used for technical training, development and research. The product range comprises 41 kits and supplementary sets, which are arranged in six theme rows. Each kit consists of basic components and different components such as motors, axles, static parts, sensors, gearboxes or gears. The construction kits are manufactured and operated by the Fischer Technology GmbH exclusively in Germany. As early as the 1960s, a fishing technology school program was created. The kits had educational requirements right from the start. From the Fischertechnik school program, a hobby line developed over time. Accompanying books were used to explain in detail the physical and technical relationships of the Fischertechnik models. Even today, the Fischer Technology Construction kits still used at school. There are industrial models for technical training in industry. The Fischer Technology 511933 – TX Automation Robots is such an industry model. The set contains 4 realistic, fully functional industrial robots. The accompanying booklet provides not only background information, but also programming tips and tasks. Even at colleges, the Fischer Technology Kits for technical training applied. For science subjects, other manufacturers offer thematic kits. Fischertechnik also offers kits for younger children. For example, the Fischer JUNIOR Jumbo Starter construction kit – 511930 is already suitable for children from the age of 5 and includes an easy-to-understand construction manual. The kit can be used to build many different models such as a low loader crane, an airplane or a tractor. With this set 16 models are possible.
The structure of the system
In the Fischertechnik construction kits there was at the beginning a gray building block. By the tongue and groove system, the blocks are interconnected. In this system, both components to be connected have a groove on the edges. In this groove a spring, as a connecting element, inserted. On all six sides of the module something can be grown. This feature is patented. For this to be possible, the module has a pin at one end, which can be slid into the slots on the long sides. The possibility to move the blocks against each other as desired and that something can be grown on all six sides make the Fischertechnik system very flexible. Playful so technical facts should be taught. Especially the function of the models is in the foreground. The basic building blocks and static parts were initially made of gray granules. Angular stones, building boards and other special building blocks, on the other hand, are made of red granules. Blue and yellow components were added in the 80s. A new color concept was introduced in 1989. As a rule, the basic building blocks are black. But there are also exceptions. For example, the green building blocks in the ADVANCED Automobile Building Kit are red, and those of the Fischertechnik ADVANCED XL Bulldozer, construction kit – 505280, are yellow. Usually the static parts are yellow. But here too there are exceptions where they are black or red. The building blocks of all construction kits are largely compatible and are usually offered in thematically oriented Fischertechnik construction kits. Electronic components include relays, connectors, amplifier, Rectifiers and pluggable incandescent bulbs, which are also referred to as telephone lamps. In the kits there are also different system components. The building blocks include the basic modules, wheels and connecting elements. The drive technology consists of gear sets, drive screws, gears, racks and motors. The structural components include U and angle beams and struts. switches, electromagnets and lampsbelong to electromechanics. Tactile or photo sensors, switching stages, differential amplifiers and digital components are assigned to the electronics. The optics include the light dividers, lenses and mirrors. compressor, Pistons and valves are parts of the pneumatics. The system also includes software, controllers and sensors that are assigned to computing.
