Ball pump advisor

Some balls are also delivered without air and must first be pumped up before it can be played. With a suitable one Ball Pump Each ball can be filled with air without great effort. For different requirements, the market offers three different types of ball pumps in different quality.

Hand pumps – the simple ball pumps

Hand pumps are the simplest and cheapest ball pumps. These pumps are held in the hands like a classic bicycle air pump. The simplest models cost only a few euros and are usually made entirely of plastic. More durable and resilient are hand pumps with an aluminum cylinder and a piston rod made of steel. Hand pumps for balls are available as single-acting and double-acting ball pumps. Double-acting pumps push air into the ball during forward and backward strokes. Inflating is therefore much faster than with a single-acting one Ball Pump , Most hand pumps include a variety of needle valves for inflating different balls.

The Uhlsport Ball Pump is a small and robust Ball Pump for home. The needle valves of the pump can be replaced. If required, a supplied, flexible hose between the pump and needle valve can be mounted. The pump is made of durable polypropylene (PP).

Floor pumps – powerful ball pumps for amateurs and professionals

As the name suggests, floor pumps are not held in the hands, but placed vertically on the ground to pump a ball. For a secure footing ensures a wide base plate, which is clamped when pumping under both feet. The stroke of the pumps is much larger than at one hand pump, This, and because the piston is pressed with both hands and in addition a part of the body weight moves the piston, can with a Floor pumpa ball with a higher pressure and be pumped up faster. Many stationary pumps are additionally equipped with a pressure gauge so that the air pressure in the ball specified by the manufacturer can be set correctly. Ball pumps with pressure gauges can therefore also be used to inflate competition balls.

The Airworx Control floor pump by SKS is suitable for inflating balls, bicycle tiresand inflatable boats. The pump has various adapters for different valves and a pressure gauge to control the air pressure. An air pressure of maximum 10 bar can be achieved with this pump. Pump body and base plate are made of steel in this pump.

Ball compressors – powerful ball pumps for clubs

Ball compressors are mainly used by clubs. With an electrically operated ball compressor, many balls can be inflated within the shortest possible time with the correct air pressure. Ball compressors are available with and without additional compressed air tank. The storage tank is convenient if, for example, there is no outlet nearby for an outside installation.

The Prebena ball compressor Vitas 45 is a mobile one compressorwith integrated compressed air tank. The scope of supply includes a flexible compressed air hose and several adapters for different valves. The compressor works oil-free.

Before buying a Ball Pump is the consideration which and how many balls to be inflated with it. A hand pump is certainly sufficient for home use. A floor pump provides more power and, when equipped with a manometer, can be used to inflate competition balls. For clubs that regularly inflate dozens of balls or need to check their air pressure, we recommend buying a mobile ball compressor with a compressed air tank. Important for every ball pump is that different needle valves are included. Each ball needs a different needle diameter, so that no air escapes during inflation and the valve needle can be inserted deep enough into the ball.
