c/o Tracy Richardson The performers of Melomanie include Kimberly Reighley, transverse flute; Tracy Richardson, harpsichord; Timothy Clinch, baroque oboe; and Douglas McNames, baroque cello. With their vast expertise in musical style and performance, Melomanie can integrate its music with social studies and language classes. A residency with Melomanie acquaints all students to chamber music from the Baroque and Classical periods as a "new" music of today. A demonstration of period instruments and an introduction to dance music (minuet, allemande, gigue, etc.) and the fugue lead to student involvement and participation in performances. Suitable for grades K-12 Education/Experience: All members of Melomanie earned degrees in music from conservatories and universities. The performers include members of the Delaware Symphony, the Carmel Bach Festival, Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, OperaDelaware, Wilmington Music School faculty, as well as recipients of Individual Artist Fellowships from the Delaware Division of the Arts. All members have extensive classroom and private studio teaching experience. Special Training: Tracy Richardson is a Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education trained artist.
