8122 Ardleigh Street Kezia Lechner is a versatile artist who sculpts, paints, writes, sings, and does performance work. She brings to her residencies imaginative enthusiasm and a strong commitment to the creative potential of each person she works with. Over the last 25 years she has taught children of all ages, senior citizens, and special populations in a variety of settings. In her residencies, she has specialized in the design and execution of large-scale ceramic murals. However, other residency possibilities might include ceramic sculpture, tile making, mash making, collage, as well as other innovative mixed media projects such as Dream Bodies, where students create life-size self-portraits using a variety of materials. The creation of a safe and inspiring environment during her residencies allows students to discover, and give expressive voice to the stories of their lives Suitable for grades K-12 Education/Experience: Sculpture major, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; BFA, University of Pennsylvania; Delaware and Pennsylvania artist-in-residence experience.
