914 Leiszs Bridge Craig Czury has been conducting poetry writing workshops in Delaware schools since 1988. As poet-in-residence in several Delaware schools, Craig has created poetry voices through writing, reading, performing, and murals with hundreds of students and teachers of all grade levels. His Poem Fusions (multi-voice poetry performances) involve students at every phase of the writing, editing, collaging, choreographing, and performing process, and were produced by Wilmington's City Theater Company in its 1996 Ten-Minute Play Festival. In 1995, Craig developed a Folklife Poetry Project with Delaware's State Folklorist, combining poetry writing with folklife interviewing skills, giving elementary and middle school students a personal knowledge and expression of the diverse folk traditions of their communities. Craig's ongoing visits to some schools continue to amaze parents and teachers with the level of writing and coffeehouse-style presentation of their third graders each year. Suitable for grades K-12 and teachers.
