Yolanda Chetwynd, trained as an artist in London, England, also received a master's degree in art therapy from Pratt Institute in New York. Having worked with many different populations on a variety of projects, she has developed various approaches that can be tailored to meet the needs of students and teachers.

Ms. Chetwynd's residencies can be designed to include drawing, painting, group murals, fabric banners, or puppets. Utilizing themes from myths and fairy tales, times and places, or life in different cultures, a variety of projects can be developed.

Suitable for grades K-12

Education/Experience: BA and MFA in painting, London University; Master's in Professional Studies in Art Therapy, The Pratt Institute, New York; extensive experience working with children and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities.

Special Training: Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education trained artist

Availability: A portion of the year, depending on scheduling

Yolanda Chetwynd's extensive arts background and teaching experiences are a valuable resource to classroom teachers. Her murals, puppets, and paintings utilize themes relating to other cultures, Greek mythology, fairy tales, or Amazon rain forests.
