Invite Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest into Your High School's English Classrooms! - Registration Deadline: September 26, 2008 -
Register your school to participate in Poetry Out Loud! To learn more about this program, visit the Frequently Asked Questions page. Information and materials to plan a Poetry Out Loud program are available now for review by visiting the Poetry Out Loud website at www.poetryoutloud.org. In the early fall, registered teachers will receive an updated packet of materials--dynamic teaching tools that will kindle students' excitement about literature and poetry recitation. The teaching materials include sample lesson plans, audio CDs of poets reciting their own famous works, publicity materials for school competitions, and a DVD of winning student performances from the 2008 Poetry Out Loud National Finals Registrations must be received by September 26th.
