The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware

The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware will be holding their open call on January 11th and 18th. Please come and meet with the artistic director at 6pm for voice placement.

Little Shop of Horrors

ACT Inc's Historic Everett Theatre announces auditions for the hit Motown style musical Little Shop of Horrors. Auditions will be held at the Everett Theatre - 47 West Main Street, Middletown, DE 19709 January 27 (7:00-10:00), 28 (7:00-10:00), 30 (12:00-3:00), and 31 (6:00-9:00). No appointment necessary all principal roles are open for anyone over 16 years of age. Please come prepared with 16 bars of an acapella selection that shows vocal style and range plus resume and headshot if available.

Rehearsals begin mid February. Rehearsals are Sunday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Production run is May 14 – 23, Directed by Melanie Reyne.

Audition Dates: January 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st, 2010


Introducing the Delaware Compline Choir

Dr. Darryl Roland, Artistic Director

Musicians who are interested in singing plainsong and a cappella repertoire mainly from the Renaissance period are encouraged to audition for this ensemble. Compline is a sung service of prayer for the close of day that originated in the early sixth century. The beauty of its music and poetry has sparked a renewed interest in this form that speaks to people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Wilmington Community Orchestra

The Wilmington Music School is announcing openings for The Wilmington Community Orchestra, Timothy Schwarz, conductor. Openings are for VIOLIN, VIOLA & CELLO. Amateur musicians who love music are encouraged to apply. The Wilmington Community Orchestra meets on Monday nights from 7:30-10:00 p.m. at The Wilmington Music School. Great Music, World-Class soloists, and fantastic orchestra members make this a wonderful event for the whole year. The musicians of the Wilmington Community Orchestra are amateurs and professionals who are dedicated to performing master works from the orchestral repertoire at the highest level.

Singing Positions at The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew

IMMEDIATE OPENING

The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew (www.ssam.org), a multi-cultural parish in downtown Wilmington, has an immediate opening for paid singers -- Mezzo-Soprano/Contralto and Baritone. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday Services are at 10:30 a.m. The position is as a section leader for an excellent adult choir of 18-24 voices with solo opportunities depending upon the individual. Occasional additional rehearsals and services are required for Choral Evensongs, Holy Week services, etc. Singers are paid $40 per appearance (for each rehearsal or service).
