ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY
"The Value of the Arts in the Life of Delaware" was first printed in 1998, identifying the impact of the arts
on cultural tourism, economic development, and the quality of life in Delaware.
The Delaware Division of the Arts study, "The Value of the Arts in the Life of Delaware," proves the arts have
multiple impacts on our state. The economic impact of Delaware's non-profit arts industry is powerful — with
1998 revenues of $48.7 million and total output of $115.1 million, resulting in 2,840 jobs and $45.7 million in
worker earnings.
