Performers
The Bowman-Braddock Duo
Flutist Mindy Bowman and guitarist Chris Braddock have played together continuously since 1998 and are at home in a variety of musical styles and settings. Their repertoire includes pieces from five centuries of classical music, as well as Celtic, ragtime, jazz selections, and various types of Mediterranean folk music.
Together and separately, Chris and Mindy have played in concerts and community events at many popular Delaware sites, including the Riverfront Arts Center, Andrés Harvey Studio, Delaware Art Museum, Bellevue State Park, Rehoboth Art League, Grand Opera House, Winterthur Point-to-Point, Rockwood Ice Cream Festival, Hagley Museum, First Night Wilmington and Dover, The Music School of Delaware, First & Central and Westminster Presbyterian Churches, and the Smyrna Opera House. They are proud to have provided music for the 2002 Governor’s Awards for the Arts Dinner in Dover.
Mindy Bowman holds two Bachelor of Music degrees from the University of Delaware, where she was a two-time recipient of the Presser Scholarship. She has studied flute with Kazuo Tokito of the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as with Carol Brown Beste and Eileen Grycky of the Delaware Symphony. She has been a flute instructor at The Music School of Delaware since 1993.
Chris Braddock holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in classical guitar performance from the University of Delaware and is a past recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship in music composition from the Delaware Division of the Arts. He teaches at The Music School of Delaware, where he is Guitar Department Head, Jazz Ensemble director, and coordinator of the school’s Cultural Crossroads Series.

Violinist
Nathan Lowman, violin, is a rising eighth grade student and studies with Kate Ransom, president and CEO of the Music School. He has served as concert master for the Delaware Youth Orchestra in 2007 & 2008 and for the Delaware Orchestral & Chamber Music Institute in 2009. This past year, Nathan was 1st chair, 2nd violin for the Delaware Youth Symphony and played in a chamber music trio. He is a Music School Honor Award and Certificate Program student and recently won the Wilmington Community Orchestra Concerto Competition for Young Musicians and the Estella Hillersohn Frankel Violin Scholarship. This summer, he attended the National High School Music Institute at Northwestern University.
